§ 01 Our Services

Badminton Gateway provides badminton training camp packages for international players wishing to experience world-class coaching and the competitive culture of Chinese badminton. Our programs combine structured daily court training with cultural immersion — giving participants a genuine window into the Chinese badminton world.

Badminton Gateway is responsible for organizing and arranging all training packages, including planning, bookings, customer support, coach coordination, logistics, and accommodation. We partner with established Chinese badminton academies and coaches to deliver on-court training.

§ 02 Booking

To register for a Badminton Gateway camp, complete the registration form on our website or contact us directly via email or WeChat.

After receiving your registration, we will contact you to discuss your goals, training background, and any preferences. We will then send a detailed itinerary outlining the total cost, schedule, and inclusions.

Your booking is confirmed once you have made the required deposit payment. Verbal confirmations do not constitute a confirmed booking.

Camp spots are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Summer camps fill early — we recommend registering as soon as possible once a camp is announced.

§ 03 Payment

Camp fees are quoted in USD. We accept payments via international bank transfer, Paypal, Whatsapp Pay, Wechat Pay and Alipay.

Deposit

A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total camp fee is required to secure your place. This must be paid within 24 hours of receiving your booking confirmation. Failure to pay within this window may result in your spot being released.

Remaining Balance

The remaining 70% balance is due no later than 15 days before the camp start date, unless otherwise agreed in writing. For last-minute bookings made within 15 days of camp start, the full amount is payable immediately upon confirmation.

Currency Note

On-site payments in China are settled in RMB (Chinese Yuan). The exchange rate applied reflects the rate at time of settlement. Any international bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the participant.

§ 04 Refunds

Once a booking is confirmed, payments are non-refundable except in the circumstances below.

Cancellation by Participant

If you cancel for any reason, the deposit is non-refundable. If the full camp fee has been paid and you cancel due to a documented medical reason — supported by a certified medical certificate submitted at least 14 days before camp start — we may offer a refund of the second installment at our discretion. No refunds are issued for illness, personal schedule changes, travel disruptions, visa denial, or no-shows.

Cancellation by Badminton Gateway

If Badminton Gateway cancels a camp for any reason within our control, all payments made will be refunded in full. If the camp is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, we will make every effort to offer an alternative date or credit toward a future camp.

All cancellation and refund requests must be submitted in writing to louis@badmintongateway.com with relevant documentation.

§ 05 Changing Your Booking

If you wish to make changes to your booking after confirmation — such as adjusting dates, group size, or accommodation — please contact us as early as possible. We will do our best to accommodate reasonable requests, but cannot guarantee availability.

All change requests must be submitted in writing and are subject to approval by Badminton Gateway. Additional costs may apply if the revised arrangement exceeds the original booking value. Change requests within 14 days of camp start may not be feasible.

All change requests should be directed to louis@badmintongateway.com.

§ 06 Special Requests

If you have any specific dietary requirements, accessibility needs, medical conditions, or other special requests, please inform us at the time of booking. We will do our best to accommodate your needs and communicate them to our partners.

It is your responsibility to disclose any medical conditions, physical limitations, or disabilities that may affect your participation. Badminton Gateway cannot be held responsible if a coaching partner is unable to accommodate undisclosed conditions.

Our policy is to be as inclusive as possible. We assess each participant's needs individually. For juniors or participants with complex requirements, we encourage a pre-registration conversation with our team to ensure the camp is the right fit.

§ 07 Insurance & Medical

All participants are required to hold valid travel and medical insurance for the full duration of their trip to China. Your policy must include coverage for sports activities, medical treatment, hospitalization, and emergency evacuation.

Proof of insurance is required before your booking is fully confirmed. Badminton Gateway does not provide medical insurance on behalf of participants.

Our training venues and accommodation are situated in areas with access to hospitals and private clinics. In the event of injury or illness during camp, Badminton Gateway staff will assist in connecting you with appropriate medical services — but all costs are the participant's responsibility.

Ensure you are up to date on standard travel vaccinations before traveling to China.

§ 08 Visa

Participants are responsible for researching and obtaining the appropriate visa or travel authorization for their nationality. Visa requirements can change — verify current requirements with your local Chinese embassy or consulate well in advance of travel.

Badminton Gateway will provide a formal invitation letter upon request, which may assist with your visa application. The issuance of this letter does not guarantee visa approval. We accept no liability for visa refusals or denial of entry.

If you cannot attend a camp due to a visa refusal or travel document issue, our standard cancellation and refund policies apply. We strongly recommend applying for your visa at least six weeks before departure.

Many nationalities qualify for visa-free entry to China. We will confirm your specific requirements in your itinerary after booking.

§ 09 Camp Conduct

All participants are expected to conduct themselves with respect toward coaches, fellow participants, venue staff, and local communities at all times. We enforce a zero-tolerance policy toward bullying, harassment, and discrimination of any kind — including on the basis of gender, race, nationality, religion, or physical ability.

Badminton Gateway reserves the right to exclude any participant from the camp without refund if their behavior is deemed harmful or disruptive to the group. In such cases, the participant is responsible for all costs associated with early departure, including transportation.

§ 10 Missed Sessions

Camp schedules are planned in advance with fixed training structures. If you miss one or more training sessions due to illness, injury, personal matters, or any other circumstance, those sessions are not eligible for rescheduling, replacement, or refund.

In cases where multiple groups are training simultaneously and schedules align, we may be able to offer an alternative session at our discretion — assessed case by case, with no guarantee.

We encourage all participants to take appropriate steps to look after their health and wellbeing before and during the camp to make the most of every session.

§ 11 Extreme Circumstances

In the event that camp activities are interrupted or cancelled due to circumstances beyond Badminton Gateway's control — including extreme weather, facility closures, public health emergencies, government directives, or natural disasters — we will not be liable for refunding fees already disbursed to third parties.

In such circumstances, Badminton Gateway will make every effort to find an alternative venue or reschedule affected sessions. Participants will be notified by email or WeChat as soon as possible. Until you receive official notice of a change, you should assume the schedule is proceeding as planned.

§ 12 Photography & Media

Badminton Gateway may photograph or film participants during training sessions, group activities, and outings for use in promotional materials, social media, and on our website. By registering for a camp, you consent to this use of your likeness.

If you have any objections to being photographed or filmed, please notify us in writing at the time of booking. We ask that participants also be respectful of others when sharing images on social media.

§ 13 Data Protection

By registering with Badminton Gateway, you consent to the collection, storage, and use of your personal information for the purposes of delivering our services — including your name, contact details, emergency contacts, health information, and payment records.

Your data will be shared with our coaching and accommodation partners only to the extent necessary to deliver your camp experience. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

§ 14 Child Protection

Badminton Gateway is committed to the safety, wellbeing, and dignity of all junior participants. We treat all individuals equally and enforce a zero-tolerance policy on bullying, abuse, or inappropriate conduct of any kind. Any allegations are taken seriously and acted upon immediately.

Parents or guardians of junior participants are encouraged to contact us before registration if their child has any specific needs, medical conditions, or requirements, so we can make appropriate arrangements.

Junior participants attending without a parent or guardian must provide written parental consent before their spot is confirmed. We recommend unaccompanied juniors are at least 14 years old. Full supervision is provided by Badminton Gateway staff throughout the camp.

§ 15 Ownership & IP

All content on the Badminton Gateway website — including text, design, images, graphics, and branding — is the intellectual property of Badminton Gateway or is used with permission from rights holders. All rights are reserved.

You may access and use our website and materials for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or republish any content without prior written consent.

§ 16 Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are intended to be read and understood in good faith. Should any clause be found unenforceable, the remainder of these terms continue to apply in full.

As Badminton Gateway operates its programs primarily in China, disputes arising from your participation will generally be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where the camp took place. We encourage participants to resolve any concerns by contacting us directly in the first instance.

You are responsible for ensuring that your travel to and participation in our programs complies with the laws of your home country and any countries you transit through.
